Teeth Whitening

If you are not happy with the current color of your teeth currently, teeth whitening may be a good option for you.

If you are interested in our Sammamish teeth whitening services, Dr. Quickstad or Dr. Wang will determine if you are a good candidate and review your options during a consultation. You will be able to choose from two options:

1. Take Home Whitening Trays

2. In Office Bleaching

You can only lighten your upper teeth or both the upper and lower, depending on how much teeth you show when you talk and smile.

Teeth can be discolored due to either staining, aging, or chemical damage to teeth. Whitening can be completed to brighten and restore your smile. In cases of extreme discoloration or damage, crowns or veneers may be the only choice. However, in many cases our Sammamish teeth whitening services may provide great results.

In some cases whitening can cause increased sensitivity. If you currently have sensitive teeth, whitening may cause the sensitivity to worsen. Please consult with Dr. Quickstad or Dr. Wang prior to starting whitening.

How is teeth whitening done?

Key Benefits of Teeth Whitening

  • Corrects brown, yellow and spotted tooth staining
  • Works on people of any age
  • Is a near-permanent solution for a “dull” smile, restoring brightness and brings a smile alive

Our Sammamish cosmetic dentistry office has two systems by Opalescence that both produce great results.

One is an at home bleaching system called “GO”.  The whitening material is used each night for about 45 minutes for a week to ten days. At the end of the week a noticeable change in color will be seen.

The other bleaching option is our In-Office Philips Zoom! bleaching. An 1-2 hour appointment will be used to apply the bleach and complete your whitening. More significant whitening results can be obtained with our In-Office option.

Note: For very severely stained teeth, crowns or dental veneers may be more appropriate.
